Lace and French
expertise
It all began in the 16th century with laceworkers in the Venice area but lace really
flourished in France where it became famous and evolved with technical advances.
Lace was originally handmade before machines appeared in the 19th century
whose unique expertise is kept alive by the towns of Calais and Caudry.
The Caudry-based Sophie Hallette brand
as inspired designers, stylists and costume
designers around the world since 1887.

Princesse tam.tam works with the best brands
to keep this slice of French heritage alive and
has been collaborating with Sophie Hallette since 1995.

Transparency
in our designs
It all starts in central Paris at our studio where all our collections are designed.
The designers have created lace with unique patterns and commissioned the best brands to make them.
All the fabrics that go into these lace styles come from France apart from the mesh
(back of the bra and briefs) which comes from Italy.
The pattern makers then make prototypes
and employees at Princesse tam.tam test
all the sizes as they're passionate about
being part of expanding future collections.
Last but not least, the models are assembled
in a studio in Tunisia. We're building long-term
partnerships based on trust with our suppliers.
Like all our manufacturing studios, this studio
is inspected on a regular basis to uphold the quality
of our products and manufacturing conditions.
